11. 5. 2012 - My sweet girl Shadow is six years old today. Happy birthday my little maniac. :)
4. 5. 2012 - Obedience competition in Malý Lapáš 28. 4. 2012
This competition was a disaster, Seeley started limping two days before the competition (because he's unable to walk in normal pace, he must jumping and running around like a mad squirrel) so he was held in my room for two days without longer walk and then in a room in pension where we were accommodated so he became really nervy and overexcited. He was noisy and he almost broke my finger on a walk and I really wanted to kick his little furry brown ass. :P It's no suprise we were disqualified, Seeley was overexcited and out of control, he almost hanged himself on a leash. We made it trough the first two exercises - sitting in a group (10 points), lying in a group (6,5 points - a screaming child on a bicycle suddenly appeared behind dogs backs) and then we were disqualified. :(
Shadow was in a good mood and she started really great (sitting in a group - 10 points, lying in a group 9,25 points) but after heeling (she hate that exercise to death) her good mood changed to "I'm bored, I'm not doing this anymore, please let me herd those lambs in pen behind me" and our performance wasn't really good. Shadow lost her concentration and I did some friggin stupid mistakes so we made the OB3 exam with 192,5 points. Well we can't be beautiful, smart and great in obedience all at a same time. :)))

22. 4. 2012 - After one year of waiting Shadow officially became a Club working champion on yesterday's Club show. :)
11. 4. 2012 - Our Rusty is 14 years old today. Happy B-day little fellow. :)

29. 3. 2012 - This time we have a good news, we visited a vet again after two months and Shadow's eyes looks good, cataract is not growing, one eye is almost clear and corneal dystrophy is still the same. We will continue the medication and I hope we can slow down the progression of cataract for a long time. :)
We are preparing for upcoming obedience competition a short video from training will follow. It will be the Seeley's first competition and I'm sure he will enjoy it (because driving me crazy is always a great fun for him :)) and Shadow will compete in the highest category. I'm starting to freak out a little because we don't take the training very seriously but I hope we will all survive that day and no one will be hurt. :)))

1. 2. 2012 - We have a sad news Shadow was diagnosted with initial non-congential cataract on both eyes and with corneal dystrophy on her left eye. :( Both diseases are probably a result of her dry eyes (Dry eye syndrome - DOS) and a bad treatment in early stages of DOS. Unfortunately vets in Bratislava didn't hepled her for almost two months, they just give us some eye drops and when things didn't changed, they just tried another eye drops without knowing what's wrong with her eyes. When I noticed a spot on her left eye we visited an ophtalmologist MVDr. Faga in Trnava immediately and he determined a diagnosis in 5 minutes. He gave us a cyclosporine which helped her a lot and after two months of medication her tear production became much better. I decided to examine her eyes for hereditary eye diseases last week and the result was - cataract on both eyes. Vet gave us eye drops which may slow down the progression of cataract so we must wait for the result. Please keep your fingers crossed for Shadow. :)
But we have a good news too: Shadow is CEA, PRA, RD, CL, LL, Glaucoma negative. :)
